I’m excited to share a sneak preview from my new book Selina Lake Outdoor Living, published by Ryland Peters & Small with photography by Debi Treloar and the 1st of my books with words by me. Selina Lake Outdoor Living follows on from my previous four best selling books, Bazaar Style, Romantic Style, Homespun Style and Pretty Pastel Style. It’s available to Pre-Order now and is due to be released on 27th March, although some stockists have and will be getting it in early!

| The book begins with my Outside Inspirations and I’m excited to share the styling ideas I put together in this wonderful buttercup field in East Sussex owned by the gorgeous Lady behind Sarah-Jane Down The Lane Blog. Dragging this mustard velvet armchair into the sunny floral setting filled me with genuine happiness on the day of the shoot and Debi Treloar has captured everything so beautifully. Huge thanks to my assistant Jess Heggs and Sarah for all their help. |
Throughout the book I include lots of ideas with flowers and share my style tips for creating the perfect posies from cuttings from your garden, crafting ideas with fresh flowers and how to use flowers as party decorations, for outside celebrations. In the shot above I’m holding a loose posy I put together using lilacs and peonies from my own garden and roses and sweet peas from The White Orchid.
As well as including ideas for Gardens in the book I also get Out & About and share my ideas for Glamping and how to picnic in style. I like to get crafty with my styling ideas so I have included DIY How to’s in each section, you can have a go at my vintage crate seating and table set, lighting ideas, no sew vintage scarf cushion, lavender bracelet and floral hair garland. Plus there are tons of ideas for serving drinks, making decorations and displaying sweet treats in the final chapter, Parties & Celebrations.
