If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you might of seen a few snaps of my new office and it’s makeover in process. In our new house we allocated the back bedroom as my new office/studio, I wanted the space to become bright, calm and with a slight Skandi feel – check out some of my inspiration in top pic via my Pinterest. I set to work stripping wallpaper, taking up the tired laminate flooring which reveled original wood floorboards and then I painted everything white! My Husband installed new lighting and put up shelves to house all of my books. I have a large desk where I sit and work on my mac but I wanted a smaller desk to fit into a little nook in the corner of the room where I could have a crafting area. I opted for the Cato desk from Habitat, I love the mix of the lacquered white top with wooden legs which adds the Skandi touch I wanted and the built in shelf is perfect for storing my crafty bits and bobs, I use my vintage Ercol chair with it and have my sewing machine set out on top. It’s a great space to sit and sew and to make things for my shoots. The complete makeover will be featured soon in one of the magazines I work for so for now I’ve just included a little sneak peek – what this space to see the transformation!
