The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

Home / Uncategorized / The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

I’m feeling extremely patriotic and very proud to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubliee this weekend, she has reigned as our Monarch for an incredible 60 years from the tender age of 25. London is suitably ready to host some of the celebrations over the long bank Holiday weekend as I’m sure is the rest of the UK, I have put up my union Jack Bunting outside the front of our home and more in the Garden. I’ve also made a little Queen Memorabilia display on top of our bookcase with my vintage coronation tin which I use as a sewing box , Queen motive Mugs as vases a very sweet tin which my Husband bought me from M&S, Queens Coronation Special edition Mirror on Sunday Newspaper from 1953 and a couple of red white & blue pom poms. Tomorrow with some friends we are cycling to Battersea to watch the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant with over a thousand boats due to make a formal procession along the River Thames. I’m riding my new Bike, The Somerby by Victoria Pendleton for Halfords which I’m planning to Jubilee up with mini bunting and maybe some Ribbon Streamers!! I hope those of you Celebrating this weekend have a wonderful time. Very Best Wishes to Her Majesty on Her Diamond Jubliee. …. I feel like breaking into song and pelting out the National Anthem!!
