Pastels continue to be a huge fashion trend this Spring with many high street brands releasing new Sherbet / Candy / Ice Cream coloured ranges. My book Pretty Pastel Style which launched almost a year ago is full of ideas for decorating and styling your home and garden using a pastel colour palette. Above are a few images which I hope might inspire you to add some elements of pastels into your home. I love this vintage flower book page and wallpaper flag bunting idea which I featured in my book Homespun Style and how cool is this new triangle rug from Carpetright’s new modern rugs range, I think this would look amazing on a white painted or white laminate floor. Pastel coloured Spring flowers are a cheap and simple way to bring pastels into your home, I love making loose posies, here I used soft coloured ranunculus, peachy white roses and bupleurum . If you don’t fancy a pastel overload how about this last idea which I photographed at the lovely home of Nicky Grace, she used pretty pastel colours to paint the woodwork in her upstairs hall/landing but kept the walls white. I love the soft lilac mixed with chalky lime and muted turquoise. Are you planning to bring some pastel touches into your home this Spring?
Beautiful imagery and colours. Love these for Spring time 🙂 🙂
