Friday Inspiration – Spring Pastels

Home / Styling / Friday Inspiration – Spring Pastels

Everyday now we are edging a little closer to Spring here in the UK and I for one can’t wait! I’m excited to see my magnolia tree come into bloom, my apple tree blossom and my Spring bulbs pop up in the garden. I’m pleased to say the Pastel home decor trend is still going strong two years after the launch of my book Pretty Pastel Style!! Below I’m sharing some images from one of my favourite Spring Pastels decor shoots and guess what you can recreate this pretty dining room ready for Spring with a little help from Homebase

Homebase has some great new pretty pastel items instore and online this season. I’m loving their Dining Tables & Chairs especially the Pastel Coloured Kentucky Dining Chairs which come in pretty pink, mellow yellow, powder blue, mint green and white and would create a perfect pastel mix and match feel around your table. Above I used the Arthouse Linen Stripe wallpaper in Yellow and accessorised the space with my vintage hankies, tablecloths and china. Homebase also has a great selection of pastel tableware accessories including these Pale pink mugs, Pretty Cake Tins, and this cute floral glass vase which would be perfect for arranging Spring blooms in. You can also buy your own Cherry Blossom tree in time to pick a few blossom sprigs to adorn your table. What are you most looking forward to this Spring?
