I was so excited when a couple of years ago I found out my favourite Dutch store brand, HEMA was to open up a store in the UK. Their UK flagship store is in Kingston, Surrey so it’s not far from me. They now have a couple in London, one in Birmingham and their range is also available to buy online. I find it a great place for affordable basics like candles, stationary and tableware. They also stock craft supplies and loads of interesting Dutch foods, like waffles, Rye breads and yummy sweet treats. So recently I headed to their Kingston store and bought a selection of coloured dinner candles, a Cedar scented candle which has lasted ages and a couple of new tumbler glasses which i’ve been using as table decorations with floating candles and wild flowers. As I’m drawn to #Allthingsbotanical at the moment I also purchased the HEMA Botanical Stamp set which I’ve been using to make little botanical collages for box frames and to make gift tags along with sticker letters.
